Studies and faith...
You all know what?
Yesterday when i studied, the only purpose i have in me, it's not getting good results,
(after i enter jc, i seems immune to bad results.. which isn't good!)
the only things i have in me is to be good salt and light..
as in, now i really want to tell ppl that with god in the centre of your life, you can really do greater things in life, and you will have a purpose in life..
Cuz ever since the jun holidays, after i came home from school, time seems to past just like that..
i never really study at all..
though prelims is like 3-4 weeks later, so near already, but i hope things will get better..
i will pray hard..
and God will definitely show me a way..
Trust in God is what i need most, is what i have to increase....
To me, sometimes, it's not good to think so much.. God wants us to have child-like faith isn't it?
So why not have child-like faith in Him..
and
Seeing is not believing.. only when you believe, will you then see/meet God..
What is faith?
- to have faith is to be sure(confident) of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot(yet) see.
- E.g. Suppose a child asks for a certain toy. the child knows you have the ability and that it is your will to give it to him. Since there is no doubt in his mind that you can give it to him, he can have absolute confidence that by asking he will receive it.
- Having that "confident assurance" before receiving that answer to his request is faith. The child does not doubt, does not question. He simply knows without reservation he will receive what he is asking for. That is faith.. [Hebrews 11:1]
- The plain truth is that we humans lack that childlike faith described above. That unwavering ability to believe with all confidence is beyond us. As adults(or as teenagers), we tend to doubt everything. That is why the living faith we need does not come from us. It is a gift from God.
- Faith is produced in us through the power of God's holy spirit working in our minds to give us the confidence and unwavering trust we need to believe He will do what He says He will do. "Living" faith is a gift from God. It is not something that we can generate from within ourselves.
